Dianne L. Vaverek

VAVEREK, Dianne – of Birch Run, formerly of Detroit, age 80, died peacefully at Hurley Medical Center on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Birch Run VFW Post #7542.
Dianne was born on January 28, 1945, in Detroit, to the late Sye and Mary (Baker) LaPonsey. She graduated from David L. Mackenzie High School in Detroit and was a wonderful stay at home mother for much of her life. On April 4, 1963, she married the love of her life, Roger Vaverek, and together they shared over 60 years of marriage. Dianne enjoyed going shopping, playing cards, and music – she especially liked attending concerts and singing along to her favorite songs. She and Roger loved to travel, whether it was a back-road cruise on their Harley motorcycle, taking their fifth wheel north, or traveling to Florida, Dianne found solace in being on the road. Above all, Dianne loved spending time with her family whenever possible. She was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Dianne is forever remembered by: Beloved Husband, Roger Vaverek; Children: Kimberly Vaverek, Bridget (Neal) Bosley, Roger B. (Robin) Vaverek, and William (Lori) Vanderjagt; Grandchildren: April Vaverek, David Wade, Douglas Wade, Sarah Wade, Amanda Honold, Aaron Bosley, Allison Egler, Kara Graves, and Krystal Vanderjagt; 21 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Denise (Dennis) Daughetee; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Dianne was preceded in death by: Son, Glen Vaverek; Great Grandson, Isaac Tiller; Parents, Sye and Mary.
