Kenneth Eugene Jandt passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 89.

Kenneth was born in Seguin on March 22, 1936 and married the love of his life, Jackie Jandt, on August 2, 1958. They lived happily in a bond of love for 66 wonderful years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Jandt and Agnes (Naumann) Jandt, and his wife Jackie Jandt.

Kenneth is survived by his brother, Fred Jandt; his two children Jeffrey Jandt and his wife Nancy, and Suzie Brady and her husband David; his grandchildren Brittany Jandt, Micah Jandt, Sarah Jandt, and Alexandra Brady; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Kenneth graduated from Seguin High School in 1954 and served in the Army National Guard and Reserves until 1962. He graduated from Texas Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1958 and Southwest Texas State University with a Master of Arts in Education in 1964. Kenneth was a passionate educator and started his career teaching science and mathematics at Schertz-Cibolo High School. He then taught mathematics at Seguin High School for the next 35 years. After his retirement from public school, Kenneth was an instructor at Texas Lutheran University.

Kenneth was a lifelong active member of Emanuel's Lutheran Church. He could often be found working outside on the land where he and Jackie built their home in 1962, near the original Jandt homestead. Kenneth enjoyed agriculture, gardening, hunting, fishing, woodworking, coin and stamp collecting, and of course, spending time with his family. He was known for his quiet wisdom, a kind and gentle spirit, and his subtle, dry sense of humor.

Kenneth's celebration of life will be held at Emanuel's Lutheran Church on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with a reception to follow at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel's Lutheran Church, 206 N. Travis, Seguin, Texas, 78155.
