Kenneth Gene Jenkins

Kenneth Gene Jenkins (known to his friends as "Kenny") was born on September 20, 1931 in Dexter, Missouri and passed away on August 19, 2025 at the Veterans Hospital in Fresno, California. Kenny was born to Isabel Vernon and Elvia Jenkins and was the youngest of six children, three brothers and two sisters. Kenny is survived by the following nieces and nephew: Rebecca Angel Zahran, Rathdrum, Idaho, Carol Holmes, Klamath Falls, Oregon: Kathy Holmes, Longoria, Oregon; Carol Angel Clemons, Post Falls, Idaho and Daniel Jenkins, Florida.

Kenny graduated from Dexter High School in 1950 and soon after at the age of 19, Kenny joined the Navy. Kenny served four years then came home and went to work for Boise Cascade Corporation in Missouri. Kenny was later transferred to the southern California plant where he worked for several years. Kenny moved to Madera in early 1970 to work on a cattle ranch and retired in his 60's.

In his later years, Kenny lived at Madera Garden Apartments for approximately 13 years. He had many friends not only at Madera Garden Apartments but around town as well. Kenny liked going to coffee shops where his friends always said that they "broke the mold" when they made Kenny.

Kenny will be greatly missed by his many friends here and elsewhere. Kenny appreciated all the care he received during the last year of his life from the numerous caregivers provided by Conny, Senior Helpers, Madera. Thank you ladies!

A service will be held for Kenny at Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10 in the Arbor Area of the Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
