Kenneth Howard Johnson, Jr. (Kenny) passed away peacefully at his home on June 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and sons. Born on February 12, 1980, to Kenneth H. Johnson, Sr. and Linda Beard, Kenny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Kenny supported his family by working as an electrician for Light-N-Electric for 20 years. He lived in Calhoun for 36 years before moving his family to Riceville eight years ago.
Kenny was a man of many talents and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lue Vancy Kimson.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Shyrell Johnson; his sons, Kane and Dre Johnson; his daughter, Kyra Rico (Javier); and his beloved grandchildren, Thiago and Sienna. He also leaves behind his mother, Linda Beard (Charles); his father, Kenneth H. Johnson, Sr.; his grandmother, Jennie Johnson; his sister, Kimberly Harper; his nephews, Jalen and Jordan Harper; his niece, Jada Harper; his mother-in-law, Brenda Jackson; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Companion Funeral Home Original Chapel located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.
