Kenneth Edward Judd, age 81, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born in
Atlantic, Iowa on April 8, 1942, to Kenneth Maxwell Judd and Lela Weatherby Judd.
Kenneth began working in the grocery store as a bag boy at age 16. He made a career in the grocery
business and managed grocery stores in various places until he retired in 2013. Kenneth loved living in
Hot Springs Village. He also loved to read, he loved to watch football games on television, and he
genuinely appreciated good cooking. His dog, Molly, was his best friend and an important part of his
life. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village where he enjoyed the
opportunity to serve as an usher.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marilyn Day Judd; and sister Irene Rice.
Kenneth is survived by his son Steve Judd (Natalie) of New Haven, CT, daughter Sheri Smith (Kevin) of
Neola, IA; stepson Matthew Junk (Brooks) of Portland, OR; stepdaughter Angela Patterson (Harlen) of
DeWitt, AR; sister Ruth Nelson, and grandchildren: David Judd, Matthew Judd, Karly Smith, Kaleb Smith,
Daniel Junk, Alexis Junk, and Kyla Patterson.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church 103 Ponferrada Way Hot Springs Village, AR 71909,
or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Cedarvale Cemetery; 200 Minorca Rd,
Hot Springs Village with Pastor Warren Freiheit officiating.
