Kenneth "Ken" Julian, 80, of Baytown passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Kenneth was born July 18, 1931 in ninnekah, Oklahoma. Ken was the second of seven children born to Paul and Dorothy Julian. In 1937 the family moved to Coachella Valley, CA where Ken attended and graduated from Coachella High School in 1949. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Gary Air Force Base in Texas. In 1955 Ken married Carolyn Wynne of Baytown. The couple had two children, Wynne Ozan and Ken Julian, Jr. Ken was employed by Armco Steel, until it closed. After retiring he enjoyed golfing, reading, and playing bridge. Ken was also a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Wayne Julian and one sister, Iletha and her husband, Edward Johnson. He was also preceded in death by two nephews, Michael Johnson and Jeffery Julian. In addition to his wife and children, Ken is survived by his grandchildren Lin Ozan and wife Corey of Tampa, Fl, Jaylynn Julian, Jacqueline Julian, and Jason Julian all of Houston, TX; Also surviving are Pamela and Richard Keehn of Sebastopol, CA; Paul and Peggy Julian of Bermuda Dunes, CA; Lew and Kim Julian of Kingman, AZ and David Julian of Kingman, AZ. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the chapel of Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Piatt presiding. Serving as pallbearers will be the deacons of Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer society or to the Building Fund of Memorial Baptist, 600 W, Sterling St., Baytown, TX 77520. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521 (281) 422-8111.
