Kenneth “Ken” Ambrose Hopkins, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1948 in West Jefferson, NC to the late William Ambrose Hopkins and Violet Evelyn Wyatt Hopkins, and was the husband of 49 years to Gloria Cox Hopkins who survives.
Ken retired after 23 years with Dick Shirley Chevrolet. He had formerly worked at Westcott Buick for 12 years and was currently working for Greensboro Auto Auction. He was a US Army veteran, an avid Nascar fan, who liked classic cars, watching sports and playing golf.
Survivors other than his wife, Gloria Hopkins include his son, Adam Hopkins and wife, Shaina; granddaughters, Hayden Freeman and Kendall Hopkins; brothers-in-law, Randy Cox and Butch Heathcote; several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Phyllis Miller and Johnny Hopkins; sister-in-law, Linda Heathcote, and a brother-in-law, Bobby Cox.
The funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Reid Dickens, with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.

I worked with Ken at GAA for 5 years. He was such a gentleman, hard worker and friend. I was very sad to her of his passing, he truly will be missed. RIP my friend.

Ken was such a nice person.I
I worked with him at Gaa. He was so much fun to work with.He will be greatly missed. Always funny and very much a gentleman.
