Kenneth "Kenny" John Lund was born on June 29, 1949, to Carl and Edryce Lund of Scandia. He was called to his heavenly home on September 21 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kenny attended Forest Lake Area Schools, graduating in 1967 and was a Lifelong member of Elim Lutheran Church. Kenny worked in auto body repair and later with the Washington County Highway Dept. After retirement, he built his dream cabin in Ely. Kenny loved fishing, snowmobiling, dinner at Meister's, and his family, friends, and church. He was a special guy with a big smile who was always willing to help when needed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; brother-in-law, Gary Coller; special aunts, uncles, cousins, and faithful canine companions, Flash and Choc.
He will be missed by his aunt, Ruth Vogt, and sister, Virginia Coller. Much-loved uncle of Ron (Sue) Coller, Michele (Joel) Fusco, Jodi (Joe) Otto, Krista (Greg) Dahling, Jenny (Blair) Studer, Anna (Kevin) Gonzales, and Kate Proulx as well as many great nieces and nephews. Cherished by cousins and many wonderful friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Elim Lutheran Church, located at 20971 Olinda Trail North in Scandia. Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial at Elim Lutheran Cemetery, Scandia.
Memorials preferred to Elim Lutheran Church Capital Campaign.
