The passing of Ken just shouldn't have happened. We are one month apart in age. I was eight-years-old when we moved to Stickney. That is when we became buddies. We were Stickney kids. We road our bikes over the unpaved bumpy roads as fast as we could. The Sanitary District land (The Ozarks) was our adventure zone. We had our favorite tree to climb. Ken's family didn't have a car, therefore, my dad picked them up each Sunday for church. After church my dad and Ken's dad were in a bowling league, Ken and I tagged along and bowled too. We would do family vacations to Rice Lake Wisconsin. When we were sixteen, we worked together at Western Electric for the summer. In 2009 I was elected Stickney Clerk. Ken used his influence with his previous employer, Schiller Park to give me a one-day training.
I have only fond memories of Ken. He was a kind person with a big heart. May his family know that he will be truly missed.
With a heavy heart, Love
Audrey, John and Bridget McAdams

Please know the Dominican Friars at Fenwick High School in Oak Park will pray for the repose of Ken's soul in our chapel. May peace come to all those who loved Ken.
