KENNETH WILLIAM "KEN/KENNY" KUMMER, age 75, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away March 17, 2026. Ken was a loving husband of 38 years to Bethia (nee Woolf); devoted father of Jesse (Jeana) and Rory (Suzy); lucky grandpa of Cade and Colt.

Ken was born in 1950 in Connecticut where he went to Notre Dame High School, graduated from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY, and was a Graphic Artist and Art Director for various companies, designing catalogues, trade publications and promotional advertising, for 44 years.

Ken's greatest happiness was time spent with his sons, playing baseball, batting practice at the park with a bucket of balls, throwing baseballs high in the sky to catch fly balls, playing tennis, basketball, football, running, collecting baseball cards, fishing, playing fetch with their dogs, building dams by the lake, going to Chuck-E-Cheese, Swings-N-Things, and doing anything they wanted to do. He put his heart and soul into coaching kids' sports, nine years for little league baseball, as well as CYO and Rec Center basketball. He never criticized, just showed them how to do things better, and he made them laugh. When he worked an evening shift at a printing company, he arranged to coach his team's baseball games on an extended dinner break, and never took a vacation until baseball season ended.

Physical fitness was a way of life of him, going to the gym daily, playing golf every morning until it snowed, playing baseball until age 50. softball until age 55, and tennis until last year with his everlasting partner, Bethia, who he met playing tennis in New York City. He would swim endless laps back and forth past the breaking waves in the ocean, and at Huntington Beach in Cleveland. He walked around North Olmsted Park every day, with Duchess and Duke (their dogs) and even when they passed on.

Ken was happy at home, loved his family, picnics at Bradley Woods, shoveling the driveway, even mowing the lawn, and never really wanted anything more. Miss you Kenny.

Funeral Mass Friday, March 27, Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd.) at 11:00 AM with Fr. Neil Kookoothe as the Celebrant. Friends may call at the church gathering room from 9:30 AM until time of mass. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
