Funeral service for Ken LaBruyere will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Hall and Rev. Larry Hilliard officiating. Grave side service will be officiated by Rev. Jeff Holland. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the funeral home prior to service. Feel free to wear your maroon to honor our favorite bulldog.
Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Ken LaBruyere, age 72, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Dixie LaBruyere; daughters, Renee Hargrove (Blake) and Meredith Robinson (Chord); grandchildren, Avery and Chanler Robinson, Asher and Caleb Hargrove; sisters, Evelyn Harrison and Carol Breland; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lutz and Adeline LaBruyere.
Pallbearers will be Blake Hargrove, Chord Robinson, Kenny Kurtz, Ken Hood, Ron St. John, and Eddie Crews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cary Vaughn, Butch Shannon, Irby Lang, Perry Parnell, Wayne "Tootie" Ellis, Chris Lyons, and all of the Men of the Genesis Sunday School class at PSDUMC.
The family would like to thank the many medical professionals and care support who treated and helped care for Ken over the past several years. Special thanks to Dr. Voss and his team at Anderson's Cancer Center, everyone at MD Anderson Cancer Center's in Houston, Chasity and Harper's Hospice team, and Ms. Clara, Ms. Gracie, and Mr. George who cared for him with so much love and kindness.
