Kenneth Alfred Lenneman

Kenneth A. Lenneman, affectionately known as Ken to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, at the age of 86 in Lansing, Michigan. Born on August 9, 1937. Ken's life was one marked by joy, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and faith.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Luci Lenneman, with whom he shared a beautiful home and loving family. He was a cherished father to his children, Kenneth C. Lenneman, Kristine Kletke, and Kim Kanazeh. His legacy extends to his adored grandchildren, Kole, Kelsey, and Charlie, all of whom brought great joy to his life. Ken's sisters, Marilyn (Donnie) Coffield, Pat (Chick) Mee, and Linda (Al) Rupich, will remember their brother with fondness. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob (Judy) Lenneman, whom he missed dearly.
He was a respected Meat Manager at Saveway and later a Route Supervisor at Sohn Linen. Ken had a natural gift as a salesman, able to strike up a conversation with anyone and charm them with his sharp wit and easy smile.
Ken's interpersonal skills were matched only by his mental acuity; he had a remarkable ability to add numbers in his head. His love for joking around was infectious.
A sports enthusiast through and through, Ken's passion for the Michigan State Spartans, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers was a constant throughout his life.
He was dedicated to church and attended services every day of the week with Luci, drawing strength and solace from his faith. Ken's commitment to church was matched by his pride in maintaining an immaculate lawn and taking exceptional care of his home and cars.
When it came to travel, Ken loved to visit his children, no matter the distance. These trips were not merely vacations but cherished opportunities to create lasting memories with his loved ones.
As we bid farewell to Ken, we remember a man whose life was characterized by his jovial spirit, his love for his family, and his steadfast faith. His memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the countless lives he touched.
Ken's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors the joy he brought to so many. His family will gather in remembrance of a life well-lived, and a legacy that will continue to inspire those he left behind. Ken Lenneman's story is one of love, laughter, and an enduring zest for life that will not be forgotten.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Gerard Catholic Church, with family greeting friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. for an early visitation at the church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush and Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6301 W. St. Joe, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church in memory of Kenneth.
