Kenneth Frank MacKay, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Calvin Oswald and Betsey Alice (Whittaker) MacKay. Ken was raised in Worcester, where he graduated from the local High School. Ken enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He was stationed with the 4245th Field Maintenance Squadron, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant, before his honorable discharge in 1960.
Ken began his career with Raytheon, taking a position in the quality assurance department of their Norwood, Massachusetts location. Ken maintained his position with Raytheon until his retirement.
In his retirement, Ken found his love for travel, visiting destinations all over the world. On a trip to Egypt, Ken met a fellow tourist, Mary Totten. Together, Ken and Mary set out on countless adventures, taking in the sights both domestically and abroad. After spending many years in Mansfield, Ken decided it was time for a change, packing up his home to be closer to Mary in Missouri.

Brother of Sally P. Schworm-MacKay, and her wife Linda, of Weymouth, Frances L. MacKay of Kansas, and the late Lorna L., Anzel V., Calvin R., and Clarence B.
Father of Brian MacKay and his wife, Kelley, of Texas, Cheryl MacKay of Arkansas, Stephen MacKay of Colorado, Keith MacKay and his wife, Kim, of Wrentham, and Laura Preston and her Significant other, Keith, of South Dennis.
Grandfather of Wesley MacKay, Shelbey MacKay, Julie Winchester, Devon Moses, Tara Moses, Katie MacKay, Jackson MacKay, Samuel MacKay, Quinten Preston, Lucy Preston, and Brooks Preston.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Ken's visitation on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
A graveside service will be held at Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester, on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
