Kenneth Eugene Mayo, age 59, left this world on Friday, November 11th, at his home in Little Rock, AR. He was a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God College and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He was an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God for 35 years. He most recently served as an Associate Pastor at Crystal Hill Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock.
He loved working in the church and sharing his faith. To his congregations he excelled in church growth, discipleship and teaching Biblical principles. His close friends and family enjoyed, and sometimes endured, his wit and humor. He was known to be “quick on his feet and not easily pushed around.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Mayo, Jr., and Myrna Mayo. His grandparents Joseph Mayo, Sr. and Inez Mayo, Wylie and Naoma Young, brother Joseph Dennerson Mayo.
He is survived by the mother of his child, Phyllis Mayo; son Kendall Mayo of Springfield, MO; one sister Debra Janney-White of Eureka, CA; one aunt, Joyce Radeich also of Eureka, CA; many nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers in NLR will be Kenny Hepp, Carl Wilson, Ferrell Marshall, Jim Roberts, Tony Runyan, Dave McGinley & Drew Hugey. Honorary Pallbearers his friends of Good Shepherd Assisted Living.
Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, November 14, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock, AR 72114. Funeral is 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 15 at Crystal Hill Assembly of God.. Burial follows at 2:00 PM at Oak Bower Cemetery, Bismarck.
