July 13, 1955 – January 31, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Stephen Lee Mayo, age 70, of Nashville, Tennessee, who departed this life on January 31, 2026.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Nora Virginia Mayo and Thomas Mayo; his brother, Carl Mayo, Tommy Mayo and his nephew, Garrick Frakes.

He is survived by his loving partner, Joanna Goble, survived by Mike Mayo and his wife Francis , Janice Frakes, his children, Erin Mayo Ledbetter, Ashley Mayo Brannock , and Stephen Tyler Mayo; and his step-daughter, Lauren Goble. He also leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Stephen was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He was a passionate football fan, proudly cheering for both the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots. Known for his contagious laughter, quick jokes, and warm spirit, Stephen brought joy wherever he went. He loved the beach, spending time with his family, and creating moments filled with laughter and love.

Stephen Lee Mayo will be remembered for his humor, his generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely.
