He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Teresa McMahan; grandparents, Charles and Bess McMahan and Robert and Louise Lockwood; and his parents, Kenneth E. McMahan (Fay) and Dorothy "Dottie" Patton (Glenn).
He is survived by daughters, Misty Gibson (Danny) and Heather Smith (Tighe); grandchildren, Austin Gibson, Sloane Smith, and Ethan Gibson; brother, Chuck McMahan (Cissie); sister, Robin Swaggerty (Stan); and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared via social media as well as with family and friends. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory is honored to serve the McMahan family. Condolence may left for the family at www.gentrygriffey.com
