Kenneth Moss Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery on Feb. 4, 2026.
Kenneth James (Kenny) Moss of Claremore, OK, at the ripe old age of 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by some of his immediate family on January 22, 2026. He was born on August 6th, 1943, what he referred to as "bomb day," in Sapulpa, OK, at home on the kitchen table to parents Kenneth Garfield and Dolores Coleen (Stevens) Moss.

Kenny was a known and skilled handyman and guitar player. He was an honored retiree of 43 years of perfect attendance with American Airlines (AA). In his past time he loved to do yard work, even lending a hand and doing yard work for an old family friend, as well as sit in his "easy chair," and watch the grass grow. He also loved working on cars, extensively working on them in his younger days as well as hot rods.

Kenny is survived by his oldest daughter Jami Moss, Taylor Moss, his adopted son, and Donna Doty, one of his twin daughters. Kenny lived a full life, and with the diligence of Jami was able to live primarily medicine free, until his later days. He was blessed to remain home for care and was tenderly tended to until his final breathe. Kenny leaves behind his three children, Jami Moss, Taylor Moss (Ruth Jaynelle) "Jaynie", and Donna Doty (Kevin).

Kenny was a grandpa of ten. Taylor Moss (Jaynie), Audrianna Simpson (Jacob), Andrew "A.J." Collins, Amber Harrison (Devon), Robert Melton (Cheyanne), Rosie Melton, Keith Melton, Caily Pana (Solomon) Alisha Doty, and Kevin Doty Jr. He was blessed with three great grandchildren, and one is on the way. Mavis Pana, Hayzleigh and Huxley Melton, and Oliver Harrison. He also leaves behind many cousins, family members, and his loyal best friend of many years, Dave Callaway (Pat).

He was proceeded in death by his wife Rosie (Morse) Moss, his parents, grandparents, some of his cousins, and one of his twin daughters Ronna Teague (Lonny).

Although Kenny is severely missed and will continue to be, he was ready to go home and as a vapor went up and is at peace with the Lord Jesus Christ forever more.

To Jami and the Moss family;

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your beloved father, Kenneth (Kenny) Moss on February 4, 2026. I came to know about his passing purely by coincidence, after he had been on my mind and in my thoughts for the past ten days. I felt a strong urge to find out how he was doing, not knowing that my search would lead to such heartbreaking news.

Although more than 35 years have passed since Jami and I divorced, I have always carried respect and appreciation for my father in Law Kenny and the Moss family. During the years I was part of the family, Kenny treated me with kindness and dignity, and those memories have remained with me throughout my life.

I also came to know from the obituary that Ronna, my sister in law, had passed away more than a year ago. Learning this was truly sad and heartbreaking. It pains me to realize that so much time has passed and that I was unaware. Please know that my heartfelt condolences extend to her memory as well.

Please accept my sincere condolences dear Jami during this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire Moss family. May Kenny, Rosie and Ronna rest in eternal peace, and may God grant you comfort, strength, and unity in the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,
Hani Dibbeh

To the Moss Family,

I was deeply saddened to learn of Kenneth´s passing on February 4, 2026. I came to know about it only by coincidence, after he had been on my mind and in my thoughts for the past ten days. I felt an unusual anxiety, wondering how he was doing, especially since it has been more than 35 years since Jami and I divorced and I gradually lost touch with the family.

My search for Kenneth - Kenny, as we all lovingly knew him, turned out to be heartbreaking. Through his obituary, I also learned that Ronna had passed away some time ago. I was truly saddened to discover that both my former father-in-law and my dear sister-in-law are no longer with us.

Kenneth was a wonderful man - not only a father-in-law, but also a friend. I truly loved and respected him, and I have always held the Moss family close in my heart. The kindness, warmth, and memories we shared will remain with me for the rest of my life. I will always remember Kenneth, Ronna, Jami, and Donna with deep respect, affection, and gratitude.

I pray to Almighty God to grant Kenneth, Rosie, and Ronna eternal rest, and to make heaven their peaceful and final home. May God comfort all of you during this difficult time and surround you with strength and peace.

With sincere sympathy and respect,

Hani Dibbeh
