Kenneth Keith Mundinger, Jr., better known as Buddy, age 76, of Peacham Road in Danville, VT died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at his home.

Buddy was born in Durand, Michigan on July 5, 1948, beloved son of the late Kenneth Mundinger and Winnifred (Taconis) Mundinger. He was raised and educated in Michigan, graduating from Corunna High School with the Class of 1966. Buddy served in the US Marine Corp and then joined the National Guard as a full-time recruiter. On May 28, 1978, he married Cheryl Ann Berard. The couple was one week away from celebrating 47 years of marriage. Throughout his childhood, Buddy spent every summer in Vermont and loved his time there, so it was natural for him to make his home and raise his family in this lovely state.

Music was a very important part of Buddy’s life. He played numerous instruments and served as the organist at Danville United Methodist Church where he was a member. He was very active in the Farmers Markets of St. Johnsbury and Danville and was a Board Member for Farmers Markets of Caledonia County. Buddy enjoyed woodworking and loved his dogs. He was a very proud Grandpa.

He will be greatly missed by survivors including his loving wife: Cheryl Mundinger of Danville, VT; his mother: Winnifred Mundinger; three children all from Danville: Tonya Marie Mundinger and partner Jeffrey Withers, Kenneth Ryan Mundinger and wife Jessica, and Alicia Mundinger and partner T.J. deLaricheliere; sisters: Bess Marie Powers and husband Vaughn and Catherine DuPont and husband Kevin; a brother: Harmon Mundinger and wife Dee ; and three grandchildren: Paden, Blake, and Berkeley.

Buddy was predeceased by his father: Kenneth Mundinger; and a sister: Shirley Mundinger.

Friends may call on the family on Sunday, May 25, 2025, 3-5 PM at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 2:00PM at the Danville United Methodist Church, 89 Park Street, Danville, VT.
