Sayles Funeral HomeMary Elizabeth Page, 65, of St. Johnsbury, VT, died in the early morning on November 15, 2025, at the St. Johnsbury Center for Living & Rehabilitation.
Mary was born on August 31, 1960, in St. Johnsbury, to Elmer & Elizabeth (Will) Page. She graduated from Blue Mountain Union School in 1978 and then graduated from Lyndon State College in 1982 with a B.S. in Communications Arts and Sciences. She worked for various TV channels in Bangor, ME and Springfield, MA. She also worked in retail for over 20 years at various stores in the Springfield area and in St. Johnsbury.
Mary grew up on a dairy farm and had a great love for animals, especially her many cats. She spent vacations at Crystal Lake with her family swimming, kayaking, water skiing, and playing games, especially her favorite, Monopoly. She loved music and played guitar and drums. She was a big Melissa Etheridge fan. Mary also enjoyed taking trips to Washington State, Chicago, and the Netherlands with her friends. Above all, Mary loved her family and was always home for the holidays. Her battle with cancer started in 2002, which she fought with strength and dignity.
Mary is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Robert) Creaser of St. Johnsbury; brother Frank (Janice) Page of Groton; nieces and nephews Beth-Anne (Gregary) Bryar, Holly Creaser, Gregory (Brandee) Page, Melissa (Scott) Blood, Kristen (Kyle Cote) Page, & Matthew (Abby Morris) Page; great-nieces and nephews Alec Corr, Finn McDuffee, Haley Page, Dillon Page, Karli Blood, & Kason Blood; as well as her dear friends Kim Humphreville, Kathy Moyer, and Jane Dubray. She was predeceased by her father and mother.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, 1pm, at the First Baptist Church, 1115 Scott Hwy, Groton, VT, with Pastor John Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Groton Village Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ryegate Small Animal Hospital 54 Moore Ln., Ryegate, VT 05042.
The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Johnsbury Center for Living and Rehabilitation for their care and thoughtfulness for Mary and her family.
