Kenneth Munger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Douglass Funeral Home - Lexington on Mar. 16, 2026.
Kenneth Eugene Munger, 76, of Nashua, New Hampshire, formerly of Exeter, New Hampshire and Bolton, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2026, in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Born May 21, 1949, in Great Falls, Montana, Ken built a life rooted in faith, family, and a deep commitment to helping others. He was a compassionate marriage and family therapist in private practice for more than 40 years and helped countless individuals and families navigate difficult moments with wisdom, patience, and care.

Known for his gentle spirit, steady presence, and generous heart, Ken was someone people trusted and turned to in times of need. His deep faith in God shaped the way he lived and cared for others. In addition to his work, Ken loved gardening, father-daughter weekends, reading, traveling, classical music, and spending time with his grandchildren. Later in life he developed a passion for woodworking and woodturning, creating beautiful furniture and wooden bowls that he often shared with others as gifts.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Stella Nancy Munger (Citro); daughters Paula (Waleed) Meleis of California and Kristina (Brett) Wessel of Massachusetts; and four grandchildren - Karim, Amani, and Sky Meleis, and Oliver Wessel. He is also survived by his siblings Eva Lind, Dave (Gean) Munger, and Lynette (Dennis) Smith; siblings-in-law Anthony (Ann) Citro and Nancy (Sal) Puleo; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Ron Munger and parents Roy and Erma Munger.

A funeral service will be held at Douglass Funeral Home in Lexington, Massachusetts, on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. Relatives and friends are welcome.

The family respectfully requests no flowers. Instead, donations in Ken's memory may be made to Teen Challenge New England (tcnewengland.org) or ECHO (echonet.org).
