KENNETH ODEGARD 11/14/1958 - 12/27/2025 Kenneth Odegard, 67, of Montevideo passed away on Friday, December 27, 2025, at CCM Health in Montevideo. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Kenneth Arden Odegard was born on November 14, 1958, in Granite Falls, the son Millard and Mildred (Johnson) Odegard. He was baptized and later confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Growing up, Ken was known to spend most of his time barefoot and his curiosity in how things work started young and he would "fix" it. He attended school in Granite Falls. After high school, his first job was at Rodger's Hydraulics. Ken was married DeVona Rorvia on a trip to South Dakota and he became a father to her three girls. A few years later, they were blessed with their son, Cody. In the early 1990s, Ken bought his home in rural Montevideo and worked first at Redball in Benson. He was then employed at Case, also in Benson, for over 20 years until his retirement. Ken was an aspiring 'Evel Knievel,' surviving several serious accidents in his life, yet that fact never kept him from pushing the limits again. He was honest, direct and dependable with little hints of rebellion which kept things interesting. Ken was a "backyard mechanic"; enjoyed repairing cars, restoring his 1979 Camaro, maintaining his beloved Allis Chalmers and his retirement gift was a Dodge Challenger. Ken is survived by his son, Cody (Tianna) Odegard; stepdaughters, Trina Doty, Janae Marshall, Kara (José) and families; sister, Margaret (Don) Korstad; sister-in-law, Sharon Odegard; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Virginia (Harvey) Raebel, Kathleen Oakland, Ron Odegard. Arrangements are with Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls.
