Kenneth Rhyan Pennington

Kenneth Rhyan Pennington, 38, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 19. He is survived by his mother and step father; Nathan and Ginger Thompson Carter, of Mount Olive; and a brother, Kevin M. Pennington, and his wife Maria of Mount Olive; step brothers, Harold Carter of Mount Olive, and Nathaniel Carter of VA; and a step sister, Melodie Griffin.
Kenneth is also survived by his beloved niece and nephew that were the apples of his eye; Chandler and Sofia Pennington; and several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth Michael Pennington; his grandparents; Avon Thompson and Iris O'Berry, and Kenneth and Carolyn Pennington; and a step brother, Tristan Carter. Ken loved working in the yard along side his mother, and could always be found right in the middle of her flower beds. He had a heart of gold, and would certainly give anyone the shirt off of his back.
A graveside service will be held for Kenneth on Saturday, December 27, at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Pennington Family Cemetery, located at 1587 Crow's Foot Road, Mount Olive. Rev. Sherman Dilly will officiate the service followed by a time of visitation there with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Tyndall Funeral Home.
