Kenneth Joseph Piskorik, 69, of Edwardsville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Kingston on Dec. 30, 1955, to his late parents, Andrew J. Piskorik and Margaret M. (Novabilski) Piskorik. Kenneth graduated from West Side Career and Technology Center in 1973. He was a hard worker and was passionate about his lifelong career as a roofer, working most of the years at Biscontini Roofing Co.
Kenneth was a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and greatly enjoyed gardening in the warmer months. He was a very compassionate and kind-hearted man and would go to any length to help those he loved. He always helped others even when it inconvenienced himself, and he did it with a smile.
He was preceded in death by his life partner of over 30 years, Linda McDermott; and stepson, Mark McDermott.
Surviving are his stepdaughters: Billy Jo McDermott, Tunkhannock; and Jamie McDermott, Edwardsville; and stepson, Jody McDermott, Tunkhannock. He was an amazing and loving father figure for grandchildren: Desiree Pollick, James and Destiny McDermott. He also adored his grandchildren: Ivi, Armoni, Jude, and Henry McDermott; and his great-grandson, Declan McDermott. Also still living are brothers: David, Andrew, and Richard Piskorik; as well as sisters, Beverly Calenda and Jane Dudash.
Kenneth's memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, officiated by the Rev. James Quinn. Family and friends are invited from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Used to party with Ken back in the early to mid 70's. He was really a fun guy and a great friend. I trust he carried that presence throughout his life.
Gerard.
