A private family service will take place at a later date for Kenneth Przybys, 80, of Marshall.  Kenneth died on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.

Kenneth Thomas Przybys was born on December 6, 1942 to Harry and Agnes (Fezler) Przybys on their farm near Ivanhoe, Minnesota.  Ken attended Holy Redeemer School in Marshall, and Lynd High School.   

On September 16, 1961, Ken was united in marriage to Arlene Dwire, and to this union, four children were born:  Connie, Kellie, Lenny, and Troy.  The family moved to Beresford, South Dakota, where Ken worked road construction.  They moved to Ivanhoe, Minnesota, where Ken owned and operated a plumbing business for several years.  He returned to road construction work, and the family moved to Pipestone, Minnesota.   Ken found enjoyment in guiding his children, attending their activities, playing cards, and working on cars. 

Ken moved to Superior Wisconsin, where he enjoyed retirement and fishing.  Several years later, he returned to SW Minnesota – Marshall. 

On August 7th, 2014 Ken was united in marriage to Kathleen Larson Schewe.  The couple enjoyed 8 years of marriage playing cards, fishing, listening to old time music, and watching over great-grandchildren.  Kathy passed away in 2022.

Ken passed away on Sunday, April 9th, 2023 at Morning Side Heights Care Center in Marshall, Minnesota, at the age of 80.  Blessed be his memory.

Ken is survived by his children:  Connie Przybys of Pipestone MN, Kellie Kounkel of Pipestone MN, Lenny (Carol) Przybys of Tea SD, and Troy (Beth) Przybys of Pipestone MN; three grandchildren: Amber, Joey and Anna; and one great-grandchild, Cecelia Rose.  Siblings:  Roger (Shirley) Przybys of Marshall MN, and Judie (Joe) Gawarecki of Brandon SD.  Ken is also survived by step-children:  Peggy Seivert of Clearwater FL, Karen (Steve) Schewe of Sleepy Eye MN, Londa (Aaron) Lund of Marshall MN and Charles Schewe of Seattle WA; eleven step-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.

Ken is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Przybys, Agnes Przybys Peppersack, and step-father, Lawrence Peppersack; and step-daughter, Rhoda Schewe Kleven.
