West Cobb Funeral Home & Crematory - MariettaKenneth Bennie Puckett, age 72, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on October 4, 2025. In death he is reunited with his parents, Milton and Juanita Puckett.
Born in Atlanta, Kenneth attended East Atlanta High School where he played basketball before graduating in 1971. He went on to attend Southern Technical Institute where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering before beginning a decades long career with Georgia Power/Southern Company. During that time, he earned his Professional Engineer License. After retiring, he and his wife, Annie, began splitting their time between Marietta and their second home in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Easy going and kind, Kenneth loved spending time at the beach, listening to music, camping, watching movies, and visiting with his family and friends. Even in the face of unending medical issues, Kenneth possessed unyielding positivity and infectious laughter. He was an irreplaceable part of a special family that will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Annie Puckett, his brother Douglas (Elizabeth) Puckett, his sisters Mary Schmehl and Christine (Lamar) Glaze, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia on October 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. The service will begin at 2:00 PM.
