Kenneth Rayden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cantelmi Long Funeral Home - Bethlehem on Feb. 4, 2026.
Kenneth C. Rayden, 88, passed away peacefully in his home on February 2, 2026.

Born on March 29, 1937, in Northampton, Pennsylvania, Kenneth was a proud graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1955. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career as a steelworker at Bethlehem Steel, where his strong work ethic and dependability were hallmarks of his life.

Kenneth was a devoted husband to his beloved late wife, Catherine Rayden, and a loving father to Kenneth C. Rayden Jr. and Patricia L. Drago and her husband Michael. He was preceded in death by his son, David Rayden. Family was the center of his life, and he found his greatest joy in being present, supportive, and steady for those he loved.

He is survived by his sisters, Joanne Kaintz and Nancy Hammer, and by his cherished grandchildren, Kayla Drago, Benjamin Rayden, and Jonathan Drago. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Rayden and his grandson Matthew Drago.

A lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, Kenneth took pleasure in the simple joys of life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing, and he often spoke with pride of achieving a hole in one. He also took great care in maintaining his home and yard, a reflection of the pride he carried in all that he did.

Kenneth will be remembered for his kindness, his reliability, and his quiet strength. He was a man who showed his love through actions, whose presence brought comfort, and whose legacy lives on in his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 2 PM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A calling hour will occur at 1 PM until the start of the service. The burial will be private and take place at the convenience of the family. Kenneth's arrangements have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be made at cantelmifuneralhome.com.

I was one of Ken's supervisors, which was a joy. His work ethic was supreme, his nature was very good. Although I was younger than him, he was respectful and kind. I learned a few things from him, and always wish I had his golf game. I offer to the family heart felt condolences, and pray for him to Rest In Peace.
