Kenneth Charles Riely, 69, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1955, in, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ken enjoyed the time he spent working for Poppelmann Plastics, where he was known for his work ethic and dedication. An avid golfer, Ken enjoyed spending time on the golf course and also had a fondness for traveling to warm and sunny locations. One of his greatest joys in life was spoiling his granddaughter, Madeline Fairchild, with love and attention, creating lasting memories.
Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sue (Duggins) Riely; daughter, Rachel Fairchild, and son-in-law, Nathan; mother, Patricia (Fleischer) Riely; and his sisters, Jane Schladand and her husband Robert, Judy Hoke and her husband Gary, and Nancy Snyder and her husband Rick. Each member of his family remembers Ken as a loving husband, father, son, and brother.
Ken's wish was to be cremated, and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
