Kenneth (Kenny) W. Ruhl, Jr., a spirited entrepreneur and devoted family man, passed away at home on August 26, 2025, at the age of 65.
He leaves behind a legacy built not only through business, but through laughter, loyalty, and love.
Kenny, proud son of the late Patricia (Smith) and Kenneth W. Ruhl, Sr., was born on May 16, 1960, in Alliance, Ohio. Born with a knack for innovation and a heart full of grit, Kenny began his journey as a child sorting parts for the family business, Ruhl Electric Company. He eventually took ownership and expanded it, keeping the company thriving for over 50 years. But his true pride wasn’t in the business—it was in the people. Whether mentoring electricians, coaching softball, or cheering on his daughters, he showed up with unwavering support. He was the kind of man who could fix a transformer, a broken heart, a bad swing and then start a new business, all before lunch. A motorcycle enthusiast and Florida sun-chaser, he found joy in the open road, the water’s edge, and the company of those he loved most.
Kenny was a devoted husband to Tracy (Donaldson), his partner in life and cherished best friend for over 40 years. Together, they lovingly raised three daughters—Patricia Ruhl (Bryan Modzelewski), Angelique Ruhl (Frank Ranalli), and Sara Ruhl—each of whom carry his strength, humor, and resourcefulness. One of his favorite roles later in life was being a proud Papa to Kenny, Traci, and Juan Pablo. He believed in thinking outside the box, helping others, and working hard. Whether in business, family, or community, he led with generosity and tenacity, always striving to help others be their best.
Private services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Robertson Family Lodge in Silver Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Alliance Area Habitat for Humanity, Crossroads Hospice, or the Marlington Athletic Booster Club.
He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
"Remember, the light at the end of the tunnel may be you. Good night."
