He was born on June 11, 1973, in Biddeford, Maine, the son of David and Valerie Scamman. He had been employed in the mental health field both at Acadia and Pembroke. He served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, always willing to help someone in need.
Ken enjoyed target shooting, listening to his scanner, and setting off fireworks. He had a unique sense of humor and liked to "shock" his family and friends with it. He enjoyed fixing things, even if it was jerry rigged with duct tape.
He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Hedman and husband Chad and Makayla Scamman; his grandchildren: Anna, Keira and Gabriel; his mother, Valerie Scamman; brother, Daniel Scamman and wife Karen; sister, Dawn Duquette; several nieces, nephew, and cousins; and his pet parrot, Sparkey.
He was predeceased by his wife, Melissa; and his dad, David Scamman.
A private gathering will be held by his family.
