Penny and family, I just found out about Ken's passing and am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Ken well, but met him at several Wente family reunions years ago and he was always friendly to talk to. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Ken's strong faith was a source of strength, courage & acceptance as he battled MS for 25 years. He was an inspiration to me and to the many folks whose lives he touched. We visited frequently via facetime! He never mentioned much about his own health concerns, it was always about what news we had in CA! I will miss his smile, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, contagious laughter & sense of humor! Ken usually ended our conversations with One day closer, Kathie. Ken fought the good fight & won his race. I will miss him so much! Good night dear brother, sleep in peace until we meet again, love, always, Kathie

Dear Penny and beautiful Family, I was so very sorry to hear the sad news of Kens passing. Although it has been a long time since I had the opportunity to see you at the Onion Pub,you were always in my thoughts and prayers.Kens unbelievable smile and positive attitude was so totally amazing. So sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I know he is in a better place and at peace. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Ken at our 40th high school reunion and was amazed and inspired by his strength and positive attitude. I have thought of Ken often since the reunion and just wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to Penny and the family.

Ken didn`t get all of the breaks in life that most of us get in terms of his health, but he nevertheless and in the face of great adversity showed us outstanding courage, compassion and even contentment, always with love for Jesus and his family.
