Kenneth Brian Sekinger

Kenneth Brian Sekinger, age 66, passed away peacefully Monday July 3, 2023, in his home in Myrtle Beach, SC
surrounded by his family.
Formerly of Pasadena, MD, Mr. Sekinger was born in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Richard K. Sekinger and Edith
H. Sekinger. A 1975 graduate of Glen Burnie High School, he attended Anne Arundel Community College. Mr.
Sekinger was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church in Pasadena, MD and worked at the Maryland Motor Vehicle
Association for over 30 years as a Clerk, Driver's License Examiner, and Supervisor in Baltimore City, Annapolis, and
Glen Burnie. He was a House Parent at Bello Machre in Glen Burnie and Volunteer for the Handicap Athletic League
where he was introduced to his wife at Sawmill Park. After the birth of his children, Mr. Sekinger Volunteered with
the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 412, in Pasadena, MD. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren who filled
his heart with joy. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, which he shared with friends, family, and strangers
alike.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sekinger is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Sekinger and his brother Richard A.
Harris.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Sara Sekinger, Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Brian Sekinger, White River
Junction, VT; daughter, Catherine Parrish and husband Robby Parrish, Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Ryne, Henry,
Jonathan Michael and Kensleigh; siblings, Susan Anderson, Alexandria, VA; Richard L. Sekinger and wife Doreen
Sekinger, Lewisville, NC; Deborah Hankins and husband Max, LaFollette, TN; special family friend, Jim White,
Pasadena, MD; special cousin, Geraldine Elza, Chester, MD, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-
nephews.
At Mr. Sekinger's request, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Sekinger's
name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
