Ken was born to Norbert and Ruth (Sur) Stuckey on January 16, 1947 in Effingham, IL. He was a devoted husband to Mary (Kreke) Stuckey of 57 years and a loving father to Kent (Alicia Scholes) of Altamont, Dean (wife, Leslie) of Effingham, and Neil of Effingham.

Ken was a hard-working man starting out at NEC where he was awarded the journeyman of the year for his faithful service making printing plates for World Color. Later he worked at Martin's IGA in the meat department and then helped at Johnson Funeral Home.

Ken's favorite thing to do was watch sports. He was a lifelong Pittsburg Steelers fan and had season tickets for Illini football. He especially enjoyed watching St. Anthony basketball sitting up high in the bleachers. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Church and a member of the Effingham Knights of Columbus #665. In his later years, he appreciated his 40-acre woods where family gathered for hunting or walking and playing. Ken enjoyed the outdoors, especially elk and deer hunting, fishing, and trap and skeet shooting. He also found joy camping with family and friends. He liked Elvis, John Wayne movies and old westerns.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Kent (Alicia Scholes), Dean (wife, Leslie), and Neil; brother, Jim Stuckey; sisters, Karen (Joe) Platz and Debbie West (Lenny Goeckner); grandchildren, Meagan (husband, Jordan) Roepke, Wade Stuckey, Blake Stuckey, Kaylee Stuckey, Jayla Stuckey and Raylen Stuckey; and 2 great-granddaughters, Harper and Maci Roepke who all were his world while he battled cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Ruth; sister, Linda; brother, Gene; and sister-in-law, Mary Stuckey.

He battled two types of cancer since 2017. He never missed a treatment during this time. He was a strong, tough guy who will be a cherished memory.
