Kenneth R. Swick

Kenneth Roberts Swick of Rochester, NY, passed away at the age of 60 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. He was born July 9th 1965 in Rochester, NY, to the late Edward and Elizabeth Swick. Ken also spent several years living in the Cleveland, Ohio area, before returning to his hometown.

Ken was a self-made man whose resilience and determination carried him through life’s many challenges. He worked in sales for many years before pursuing his passion as the owner of his own home improvement and construction company. Known for his strength, loyalty, and devotion, Ken was a steady presence for his siblings, who often looked to him as the patriarch of the family.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Swick; his brother, Ronald Swick; and his sister, Cathy Onocki.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Quayle Swick; his children, Shane Swick, Cheyenne Swick, and Shaylyn Swick; and step children Samantha Tobin (Kyle), Logan Abbott, and Gabriella Abbott; his uncle, Lewis Caswell; his siblings Dorene Swick (James Born), Laura Shannon (Lynn Garrow), Melissa Earnst (Scott), Susan Richmond (Jeffrey), Christine Onocki, Douglas Swick (Peggy), Kirby Manning (Wendy), and Joseph Rittler (Allison); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in-law, his poker family and his friends who will cherish him for the rest of their lives.

Ken loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. His loyalty to family and friends was unwavering, and his legacy of strength and love will live on in those who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 7, from 2–5 p.m. at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14621. There will be a eulogy being read at 3:30 p.m.
