Kenneth Turner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel on Mar. 27, 2026.
In Loving Memory of Kenneth Charles Turner March 10, 1952 – March 14, 2026 Kenneth Charles Turner, affectionately known as KC, was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and partner. He passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas. Born on March 10, 1952, in Big Spring, Texas, KC was the cherished son of Jake and Terry Turner. One of nine siblings, KC shared an unbreakable bond with his family. He is survived by his brother, Rayfield (Vee) Turner, and three sisters: Linda (Harry) Turner Miller, Joyce (Michael) Turner, and Ellen (Phil) Turner Clewis. He is now reunited in eternal rest with his parents and brothers-John Turner, Wayne Turner, Charlie Turner, and Kelvin Turner. KC's greatest joy in life was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Linda, Miesha, Derrick, Courtney, and Tameka. His legacy also lives on through Jennifer Baeza, Jacenia Sims, and Kimberly Farmer-three children he embraced as his own with unwavering love and devotion. His children brought him immeasurable pride, and each held a special place in his heart. KC proudly served his country, dedicating two years to the U.S. Army and two years to the U.S. Navy. For many years, he shared his life with his devoted partner, Tina Turner, and her children with whom he created countless cherished memories. KC had a larger-than-life personality that made every room brighter the moment he entered. He was known for his quick wit, endless jokes, and a sense of humor that could lighten even the heaviest day. His talent in the kitchen brought family and friends together, and he loved preparing meals that filled hearts as much as they filled plates. A man of remarkable style, KC was always impeccably dressed-confident, polished, and unmistakably himself. His candid spirit, generosity, and deep love for his family will forever be cherished. During the later years of his life, KC was lovingly cared for by his devoted cousin, Angela Samuels, whose compassion, patience, and dedication brought him comfort and support during his time of illness. The family is deeply grateful for the care and love she showed him. His presence brought joy, warmth, and connection to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. A Celebration of Life honoring KC will be held on April 11, 2026, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and share cherished memories. Though his presence is no longer with us, the love, laughter, and memories he gave will remain in our hearts forever. "Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
