My first favorite memory of Kenny is when we first met, we had just moved into some renovated apartments in North Memphis & him & Nicki was like the second people to move in, my sisters and I were outside late one night and I remember him walking up from the sidewalk and we were like "Who is this big dude walking up on us? haha!" but his energy always lit up a room so we knew he was coming from a positive place "Even though I thought he was going to try to holla at my sister lol" but he literally came to ask me if I was interested in joining his football team without even knowing that I was literally just trying to convince my dad to convince my mom to let me play for a team, such divine timing that it was truly meant for us to meet him, I was only 11yrs of age at the time & we all hit it off from then on out! We would love to see Kenny, I remember him & my dad sitting talking in our living room & my mom cooking for us & him falling asleep a lot of nights & Nicki would come knocking on our door angry at him but her voice was so gentle that she couldn´t be taken seriously haha! He did not play about us, he literally was a big brother to me & it was right on time because I have 4 brothers & at the time 1 had moved out of town, 1 was in the military & the other 2 were incarcerated, he came into my life at the perfect time & we called him our Godbrother, he looked after all of us & he didn´t play about my mother & father, he was a gentle giant but don´t play with him, "if you know, you know haha!" He was so intelligent, charismatic, smart & divinely gifted in all areas of life, he showed & taught me a lot about life in general & for that you will forever be in our hearts big bruh, I will stop here because I could literally write a whole book about him, RIP Kenneth Upshaw The Great! We love you forever! May the ancestors guide you on your journey!
