Ken Wable, 83, beloved husband of Janet Wable, died Wednesday, June 12th at Salisbury, Maryland.
Ken, a lifelong resident of Springs, Pennsylvania, was a popular member of the community. Quick to laugh and share a story, he rarely met a person he didn't like, or an animal in need that he wouldn't try to help. Before his retirement, Ken worked for Celanese Corporation, and ran Wable's Wood Stove Sales with his wife. In recent years, he enjoyed his family and pets, his farm, hunting and fishing, trips to the beach and shooting pool with his buddies.
Born on August 14, 1940, Ken was the son of the late Wilber Homer "Mike" Wable and Dorcas "Jane" Wable of Fort Hill. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Younkin) Wable of Springs; his son, K. Scott Wable, of Ocean City, Maryland; his daughter Stacey Snyder and her husband, Troy Snyder, of Berlin, MD; his sister-in-law, Joanne Walker, of Grantsville, MD; and his nephew, John Walker.
His memory will be cherished by his wife and family, his large circle of friends and relatives, and the many people whose lives he touched.
Cremation followed his death. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home.
