Kenneth Francis Waldron

Kenneth "Ken" Francis Waldron, born November 12, 1947, in Washington, DC, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at Cardinal Care of Jacksonville. Ken was 77 years old.

A man of remarkable spirit and unwavering dedication, Ken was the proud owner of his own healthcare consulting business. Throughout his life, he combined his professional endeavors with a wealth of personal interests that brought joy to him and those around him.

Ken loved spending sunny afternoons grilling and cooking, often delighting his family and friends with his famous grilled wings (The best wings around!) A passionate golfer, he enjoyed both watching and playing the game, and relished any opportunity to be near the water, whether deep-sea fishing or boating with his loved ones. Ken's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins, Ken held a special place in his heart for the ECU Pirates as well, never missing an opportunity to root for his favorite teams, especially enjoying the camaraderie of tailgating. Alongside his beloved wife Rachel, Ken found fulfillment in rescuing sea turtle nests, sharing a deep reverence for nature and its creatures.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Waldron and Irene Groff Waldron. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Robert "Rob" Waldron (Crystal) of Greenville, NC, and Curtis Lee Waldron (Player) of Atlantic Beach, NC; his brother, David Waldron of Virginia; and his cherished grandchildren, Anabelle Clark Waldron, Alaina Grace Waldron, and Lilly Reid Waldron.
