Kenneth Warren Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Queen City Funeral Home on Feb. 17, 2026.
Obituary

Kenneth Leroy Warren Sr., "Big Ken," beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Queen City, Texas. Big Ken was born July 18, 1948, to Dramon Warren and Thelma Warren (Propps) in Domino, Texas. He was raised in a very close-knit family.

The Warren family moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1959. Big Ken attended Jefferson High School, graduating in 1966. After a short time in the Army, he returned to Portland and began his career working for the city. Big Ken loved sports, always rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Portland Trail Blazers. He also coached his son, Lil Ken, in baseball and basketball, mentoring the youth of Northeast Portland. After retirement, Big Ken moved back to the country to spend time doing what he loved: fishing and playing dominoes. Honoring the town where he was born, Big Ken was the long-reigning domino champion of the Propps family reunion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Harold Sr., Lafluis Sr., and Ernie Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Portia Stubbs-Ward (Damarco), CA; son, Kenneth Warren Jr. (Marley), NY; grandsons, Kenneth Warren III, OR, Kelijah Warren, OR, and DeMarco Kenneth Stubbs-Ward, CA; granddaughter, Marie Lucy Ward, CA; siblings, Freddeye Frazier, NV, Evelyn Beard, TX, Larry Warren (Ethel), OR, Wanda Hopkins (Stanley), OR, Andrea Jackson, TX, Cheryl Woodard, NC, and Darryl Warren, OR; sister-in-law, Wanda Carter, AZ; ex-wife, Belinda Warren, OR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
