Kenneth A. "Chicken" Weindorfer

Kenneth "Chicken" Allen Weindorfer (Ken), age 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 21st, 2026.

Ken was born on February 25th, 1966, in Cudahy, WI to John and Elizabeth Weindorfer. Ken

was the youngest of four children and joined siblings David, John and Beth. Ken lived with his

family in the Milwaukee area for several years, where he excelled at athletics and especially

loved playing basketball and baseball. He relocated to Park Falls for his senior year of high school

school and graduated from Park Falls High School in 1984.

After graduation, Ken continued his love for athletics and being a part of a team by playing

league softball for many years, as well as participating in several bowling, dart, and horseshoe

leagues. Ken was a natural athlete and excelled at any activity that required skill. He was

known for his fierce competitive spirit and was one of a select few who was able to bowl a

perfect game of all strikes on several occasions.

Ken met his lifetime best friend and partner, Beverly Lemke, in 1986 and they raised their two

sons, Joseph and Joshua, together in Park Falls. Ken was a dedicated provider for his family

and had a long-term career as a tree trimmer for Lake States Tree Services before beginning

his second long-term career at Weathershield Windows, where he was employed for over 20

years.

Ken loved animals and was especially fond of his dogs, Dakota and Sadie. He was an avid

outdoorsman and spent countless days camping, hunting and fishing with Beverly and his

sons, and with numerous long-time friends. He especially enjoyed the bi-annual fishing trips he

took with his family to Deer Lake in Northern Minnesota, catching monster walleye and

smallmouth bass each summer. He also had many great memories of fishing and hunting trips

with close friends Joe Feit, Porky Pritzl and Travis Nelson, as well as several others throughout

the years, and we know he's happy to be reunited in heaven with close friends PJ Herbst, Tim

Smith, and Duffy Miller.

Ken was always known for his love of life and having a good time and could usually be found

with a smile on his face and a beer in his hand, usually a warm Hamms, which he never had to

fear being snagged by someone else since he was the only one who could stand to drink it. He

loved those close to him intensely and wasn't afraid to show his emotions to others. He was

the first to say "I love you" on every phone call and always made sure to hug everyone before

they could leave. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Weindorfer, and siblings David

Weindorfer and Beth Klug, sister-in-law Linda Van Auken and mother-in-law Christina Erickson.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Beverly Lemke, of Park Falls, WI, sons Joseph Lemke

(Amanda Guthman) of Ironwood, MI, and Joshua Weindorfer of Park Falls, WI, granddaughter

Riley and grandson Grayson both of Park Falls, WI, father-in-law Charles Erickson of Park

Falls, WI, brother-in-law Mike Erickson of Wausau, WI, brother John Weindorfer Jr. (Sharon) of

Park Falls, WI, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, from 1:00pm – 6:00pm with a prayer service at 2:00pm at the American Legion in Park Falls, WI. Deacon Chet Ball will officiate. We invite all who knew Ken to join us to honor his memory and share stories of all his shenanigans and the impact he made over the years. Please consider wearing his favorite color, camo, or something representing his favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys, in his honor.
