Kenneth Whiddon, 64, a native of New Orleans and resident of Prairieville, LA passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. Kenneth was born in Orleans Parish to John and Juanita Whiddon. He graduated from Heritage Academy and continued his education achieving Master Mechanic. He worked in auto repair for over 30 years. His knowledge of engines led to a love and appreciation of drag racing. He built and restored many cars over the years, but his pride and joy was his 67 Chevrolet Camero.
He is survived by his brother, George Whiddon of Prairieville. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Juantia Whiddon.
Special thanks for compassionate care by the nurses and staff at the St. Clare Manor Nursing Home of Baton Rouge and Chairty Hospice of Baton Rouge.
Services will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln. Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, October 27, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with Mass starting at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at 10:45 am.
