It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Wayne Williamson, a loving husband, father and grandfather who left us on March 2, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on January 5, 1958, in Newton, TX, Kenneth spent much of his life in Merryville, LA, where he became a beloved member of the community.
Kenneth was known for his witty sense of humor and his all-around nice guy attitude. He loved watching sports, especially when it came to cheering on the Saints and LSU from the comfort of his living room. A true history buff, Kenneth loved sharing stories and facts with anyone who would listen. His infectious laughter and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Williamson of Merryville, LA; son, Brent Williamson and Shonte of Westlake, LA; daughter, Brittany McCain and Otis "Boo" of Merryville, LA; brothers, Jay Williamson, Jr. and Cynthia of Merryville, LA, Larry Williamson and Tammie of Gibbstown, FL; grandchildren, Otis, Jeremiah, Mae Mae, Linkoln and Logan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Billie Williamson.
A Celebration of Life service for Kenneth will take place at the Merryville Community Center on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating his life and sharing stories that made Kenneth so special to us. Cremation has been entrusted to Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
In this time of loss, let us remember the laughter and love he brought into our lives.
