Kenneth Jerome Zipperer passed away peacefully at home and entered God’s loving arms on September 6, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 33 years to Darlynn (nee) Widner Zipperer. Dearest dad to Susie (Joe) Grilli, and Matt (Madi Contreras) Zipperer. Grandpa to Ryan (Angelica) Frank. Brother to Mike (Claudia) Zipperer. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ken grew up in Milwaukee, WI and after serving in the US Coast Guard, he dedicated his career to serving as a firefighter for the Milwaukee Fire Department. He later moved to Mountain Home, AR where he was active in the community. He had many hobbies. He was a swimmer, fisherman, school bus driver, home remodeler, Green Bay Packer fan, golfer, car enthusiast, grass perfectionist, weather addict, and claimed to be a professional car washer.
The family wishes to express gratitude to Hospice of the Ozarks along with Pastor McReynolds of Redeemer Lutheran Church for providing loving care during this difficult time.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Ludwig and Esther Zipperer of Phillips, WI.
Funeral worship services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on September 17, 2025, at 10:00AM. Family will greet friends prior to the service at 9:30AM with a light snack provided afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice House of the Ozarks are welcome.
