Kenny Paul Baker passed away at Prowers Medical Center on June 8, 2025 at the age of 73. Kenny, the oldest of five children, was born on April 29, 1952 in Pampa, Texas to Bob and Pat (Brannon) Baker. The family relocated to Glenwood Springs, Colorado and then to Lamar, Colorado in 1968.

Kenny began working for Des Marteau Grain and then was employed by Southeastern Colorado Co-Op for 38 years. His favorite times were spent with family. Kenny enjoyed all kinds of hunting, making several trips to South Dakota with his son, Kenneth and friends for pheasant hunting trips. Kenny hosted a dove hunt every September for Kenneth, brother-in-law Steve, and nephew Josh. Kenny cherished the many memories and friendships that were made through hunting.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Darla Baker of the family home; son, Kenneth (Cathy) Baker; granddaughter, Payton Ioerger; two great granddaughters all of Houston, Texas; brother, Jeff (Virginia) Baker; sister, Sherri Powers; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, as well as close friends, Miranda (Omar) Olvera, Kasey (Kelly) Jenkinson, and Kelli Weber.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Edith Brannon, Clell and Isabella Baker; father, Bob Baker; mother, Pat Baker; brothers, Tim Baker and Greg Baker.

Per Kenny's request, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.
