Kenneth "Kenny" Marquis Wilson, 37, of Lincoln, NE passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, NE.  
 
He was born on July 2, 1986 to Kenneth Ray Wilson and Eddie Mae Eatmon at Liberal, KS.

Kenny was a graduate of Liberal High School and Butler County Community College. He excelled in track and football; playing with the Liberal Redskins, Butler Grizzlies, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Kenny later went on to play indoor football with the Sioux City Bandits and the Wichita Regulators. After football Kenny worked as a Probation Officer with adolescents; he was also a Correctional Officer with the Seward County sheriff’s Office in Liberal, Kansas. During Kenny’s time in Bryan, TX he worked in a warehouse loading and unloading trucks. While living in Lincoln, NE he enjoyed working as a Security Officer. He enjoyed listening to music and working with the youth. Kenny was known as a jokester who loved being with his family and friends. Kenny’s love for football never left his heart as he enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Nebraska Cornhuskers play.

He was a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ Church where he was a Junior Usher and participated in the Drill Team.

Kenny is survived by his Mother, Eddie Mae Houston and husband Nathan of Liberal, KS; Father, Kenneth Ray Wilson of Bryan, TX; Son, Kaeden Wilson-Nienke of Ellsworth, KS, Three Sisters, Timiko Young and husband Marlin of Wichita, KS, Keynitra Houston of Cincinnati, OH, Manasha Coleman and husband John of Houston, TX; One Niece Machia Mullens of Boulder, CO; Nephew, Malachi Mullens of Houston, TX; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Lovola Eatmon of Liberal, KS; Elvira Callins of Hollis, OK.
     
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10:00 am at Bibleway Church of God in Christ. Burial will take place in the Liberal City Cemetery followed by the Repast at the Girl Scout building at Light Park.

The family requests Memorial Contributions to be made and sent to Miller Mortuary, PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826 to assist with Kenny's final expenses.
