Kent Hunter Wallace, 70, of Ogden, Utah passed away on October 18th, 2025 after an extended battle with cancer. Kent was born on June 18, 1955 to James and Inez Wallace in Ogden, Utah. After high school, Kent joined the military and was in the Navy for eight years, where he traveled to many locations around the world.
After two prior marriages, Kent met and married his soul mate, Jody Gay Orton, in 1991. They spent many years together camping, fishing, and hosting family events in their back yard. Kent saw himself as a modern day mountain man. Kent's great sense of humor and love of spending time with family, especially during the holidays when he would set up trains around the Christmas tree for the grandkids, is something we will cherish for many years to come.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, James and Inez Wallace, brother Steve, and sister Sharon.
He is survived by his wife Jody, his brother Bart and sisters Jill Ewing and Janet Hickman (Mike), his sons Shane (Jade), Chad Hayman, John Weber (Trisha), Jeff Weber (Lee Ann), Jorge Weber, daughters Joleigh Honey Marchant (Andrew), Jennifer Tobiason (Mike), numerous grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place in May, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
