Kenton Tyler Shelby- age 25 passed away May 14, 2016.
He was born in Nashville, TN on July 6, 1990. When remembering Tyler some of the first words that come to mind are generous, passionate, loving, easy-going, sweet natured, genuine, amazing, loveable, and selfless. One of the most important things in his life was Jesus and his family. He was a man of faith who attended Long Hollow Baptist Church and gave his life to Jesus Christ on Easter of this year.
Tyler was a metal polisher by trade and was absolutely passionate about it. He really enjoyed his work and was very good at it.
Tyler loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hiking. He loved watching movies, especially Star Wars and Platoon. He also enjoyed a wide variety of music but you could be sure to hear the songs Simple Man, Free Bird or Country Boy Can Survive if you hung out with him long enough.
If you asked Tyler what his favorite places were, his response would have been the lake or wherever Candice was.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers. James Curry Shelby and H.N. Walker.
He is survived by the love of his life, Candace Kent and her son Mason; parents, Phillip and Brenda Shelby; brother, Drew Shelby and daughter McKenna; grandmothers, Ruth Shelby and Wilma Deering (Billy).
