Kerby Dwayne Sneed

Norfolk - Kerby Dwayne Sneed, born on January 18, 1967, in Ellsworth, Maine, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of 59.

Kerby served his country with dedication and pride as an engineer in the United States Navy for 16 years, retiring due to disability. He continued his passion for engineering at QED Solutions, Inc., where he was esteemed by colleagues and clients alike.

A man of diverse interests, Kerby found joy in golfing on sunny days, honing his skills at the shooting range, and spending cherished moments boating. His love for music was a constant companion throughout his life.

He was a diligent student, graduating from Ft. Meade high school in Maryland in 1985, and later earning a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Leo University while serving in the Navy.

Kerby was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leon Sneed. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his devoted wife of over 30 years, Adalia (Dapadap) Sneed; his mother, Ealine (Vest) Sneed; his stepmother, Donna Sneed; and his sister, Tina Marie Sears. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
