Le'mar Cordon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater on Feb. 19, 2026.
Le'Mar Cordon, 59, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 31, 2026, following a courageous two-year battle after suffering a stroke.

Born on April 17, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, Le'Mar was the beloved son of the late George Mitchell Cordon and Carrie Lola Bains (née Staton). He later made Norfolk, Virginia his home, while also spending time living in Northern Virginia, Texas, and Ohio.

On February 23, 2008, Le'Mar married the love of his life, Debby Ann Cordon, at the Norfolk Courthouse. Together they shared 17 years of marriage built on love, devotion, and unwavering partnership.

Le'Mar worked as a warehouse worker in crane maintenance and electrical operations with Electric Motor Company until his illness in 2024. He took pride in his work and was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. One of his proudest accomplishments was earning his associate degree, a milestone that reflected his determination and commitment to personal growth.

Outside of work, Le'Mar enjoyed working on cars, playing basketball, and listening to music. He found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful moments with family and friends. He will be remembered most for his generous heart and his constant willingness to help others. If someone needed support, Le'Mar was always ready to lend a hand.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Debby Ann Cordon; his mother, Carrie Bains; his stepfather, Conrad Bains; his daughters, Dawn, Breca, and Leima; his sons, Demetrice and Jamari; his sisters, Thelma and Cassandra; his brother, Anthony; his favorite uncle, William "Big Willie"; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Le'Mar was preceded in death by his father, George Mitchell Cordon.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all family members and friends who called with words of encouragement, prayed, stopped by, and sat with him during the past two years. Your love and support brought comfort during a difficult time, and it will never be forgotten.

Le'Mar's life was one of quiet strength, resilience, and compassion. His legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in all who knew and loved him.
