Kermit L. Link, 97, of Emmaus, passed away Feb. 7, 2026 in Phoebe Home. He was the husband of the late Dolores R. (Hilbert) Link. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Clarence and Lizzie (Albitz) Link. Kermit worked as a cabinet maker for Allen Organ for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He later enjoyed driving for Lexus of Allentown for 15 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Union Church, Macungie. In his younger years, Kermit played baseball in the 1940s for the Emmaus A.C., and he remained an avid sports enthusiast throughout his life, proudly cheering on Philadelphia teams. He also enjoyed trap shooting with the Lehigh Valley Trap Shooting League, and he found great joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time appreciating wildlife, and German music.
Kermit is survived by his son, Glenn R. Link and wife Penny; step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and step-great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his step-brother, Kenneth Link, Sr. and longtime companion, Dorothy Freyman.
Funeral services will be held on Fri., Feb. 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with will follow in St. Peter’s Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Humane Society, 640 Dixon St., Allentown, PA 18103.
