Kerney Emeles Harrison

ROCKY MOUNT – Kerney Emeles Harrison, age 65, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on April 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Kerney Swept Harrison and Edith Lee Matthews Harrison.
A lifelong grocer of over 40 years, Kerney enjoyed working, helping others, and making new friends while employed with the Nashville Food Lion. Albeit a man of few words, he was very much a kind and gentle soul, always willing and eager to lend a hand to those around him in need. Sentimental by nature, Kerney devoted his life to his family and when not outside tending to his yard and garden he could be found enjoying any number of his favorite TV shows. A loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and good friend to many, Kerney will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Kerney is survived by his wife, Bridget Ezzell Harrison; his two children, Lee McGary and Michael Stallings and his life partner, Taylor Morgan; his sisters, Carolyn Joyner and Jean Pridgen and her husband, Al; his brother, Randy Harrison; his nephew, Terry Joyner; his nieces, Tammy Glover and Teresa Leggett; and his loyal companion, his dog "Boo – Bear".
A private family service will be held.
